i think i will also look into requiring stochastics and histogram divergences. this would bring my total requirements that i would want to appear on my MTF chart to 9.

9 signs

LTF 20/50MA
bar signal
TL/pattern is S/R
fibonacci
volume
overbought/oversold stochastics
stochastics divergence
near new high histogram
histogram divergence

/NKD stopped out

Felt like a wierd trade. a couple requirements i used were not that great...MTF MA's were not that far apart, long doji reversal bar was kinda small, friday afternoon so volume was near non-existant, fibonacci 66% was kinda far away. WhY diD I GeT iN??? i guess i just wanted some kind of practice.

/ES stopped out

My MTF looked great, but i got stopped out a little after. i realized my LTF stochastics werent as oversold as i want....but then i realized i should be using a cross in stochastics instead of overbought/oversold for my LTF. i will also go ahead and make sure my MTF MA's are far apart and ready to cross as well.

i watched my set time frames today.
LTF-weekly and 4hr
MTF- 3D,2D,1D and 20m,15m,10m
STF-1hr,1m
but only two potential moves occured and neither had the right stuff. here is one of them. LTF wasnt near oversold level, the one MTF i would use didnt have a good trendline or volume for reversal the bar.

currently watching 5 different futures on these time frames, could include some more. i just dont want to watch hundreds of stocks. and thanks to my ZT Systems desktop i now have the power to stream info for as many charts as i want. for me 5 assets = 41 charts, plus i got some random charts open as well.

im thinking about adding fibonacci retracements to my requirements. im pretty sure im close to the point of having too much but, ill see. i dont want overkill but ill test it out.

i think i pretty much narrowed it down to what time frames/assets and how many time frames/assets to watch for my usual setup. i will wait for the exact assets, in the exact time frames that i want. now i just have to restrain myself from peeking at all the other time frames to trade with. self control. we'll see what happens.

/ES missed trade

I have been saving more and more chart pics on my flickr account. This is a trade i just missed. I have been looking through many time frames for trades lately but just as how i want to focus on just a few assets (S&P500 futures, US Dollar futures, light sweet crude oil futures...etc), i should also focus on trading in specific time frames that i like the most. it makes more sense to me to wait for my "favorite" time frame to show signals than to bounce around. If i find a less favorable time frame to trade in then it will just prevent me from trading in my preferred time frame. it will also create less confusion and let me get closer to "mastering" specific assets/time frames.

i missed this cuz i had to sleep-in. all TF's looked good and had all my requirements. not a big move but i think the odds were there.

I think from now on i will not just look for falling resistance (for a short) but will also use a flat TL and a rising resistance TL. i think requiring 2 or 3 of them at once is a little much but atleast one should be good.
just advice about a one of my FAVORITE weaknesses. this chart also happens to be the AOB trade i was following so by now im not following it anymore since it would be wasting my time.

found a good entry that i have missed but i will follow it anyways to see what happens to it. it was too far away from where i would enter to bother getting in now.

4hr short trade with /ES worked out great. i dont think i would always want to "be on call" for the exits though. that is the downside to trading in 1hr/2hr/4hr time frames. this one i exited at 3:30 in the morning and i was really supposed to wait till after 4, but i got tired.....easy exit though.

just another random trade i found after the fact. this happened in the middle of the night but i think it would still be worth it if you wanna stay up late or live in Hawaii. thanks to the leverage i would have gotten $150 in about 1.5 hrs. sounds good to me.

It was a good week. A lot of action. Im holding my /ES short and just waiting to get out. I see so many moves i could have gotten into but i either had to sleep or do chores. Thinking about moving money over into my trading account to make real-money trades with stocks soon. I would have to work it so that i can handle the trades in between going to work. Day trades when im off sounds good, i know i wouldnt hit the PDT limit so that should be fine.

watching AOB

Friday morning is critical for this trade and im just waiting for a small sell-off to happen first. This was the result of a little research before i go eat at pappadeux tonight w/my FAVORITE girlfriend.

/ES short entry

With this trade i also decided to use a MACD histogram cross for the STF if the MA's have already crossed. Any general trend-change crossover should work. All the TF's looked pretty good. LTF- indicators strong, price at 20 MA, MTF- long legged doji, high volume, histogram strong, stochastics overbought, falling resistance TL, STF- histogram crossed on 1m.

seems like volume can be useless in after-hours trading. i happen to be browsing around late last night and i found this setup in /CC. i didnt enter it but i marked in real-time when i would enter. i dont know how i could do a trade like this if i plan on sleeping? but i guess if i lived on the other side of the world this is the trade i would have made $360 on in about 3 hrs.
